In an effort to try and convert more of you to use the very useful facility that is OneDrive - I have made the attached document with an explanation behind the concept of OneDrive - how it works and how it can benefit you.

Everything on OneDrive is stored in the cloud - but unlike most establishments and also if you have a personal OneDrive account - Worthing High's OneDrive accounts are backed up to another cloud source meaning you will never lose anything - and in the unlikely event you do, we can search through backups to try and restore it for you.

Everyone has a 1 Terabyte OneDrive account as part of their WHS Office 365 account.  You can also create a free Personal OneDrive account which is limited to 5GB - however, you can upgrade that to 100GB for £1.99 per month, or pay for a personal Office365 email account which would give you excellent email and 1 TB of free OneDrive. Speak to me if you are interested in the personal Office 365 account.

OneDrive can be accessed from your work pc, your home pc, your phone or practically anywhere with an internet connection. If you use the iOS app on your iPhone - you can open multiple one drives - so you could access your work account as well as your personal one should you own one.

Have a read of the document attached and you will see the enormous benefits of using OneDrive.

For example - if you stored all your school documents on OneDrive - you may not have to use the Remote Desktop facility - you could go to https://outlook.office365.com - sign in and have access to your email and all your documents.

If you are unsure about any aspect or need clarification on anything, please come and see us in IT and we will be glad to help you out.

Regards
Peter
